We took a drive to the back side of Salt Pond and the waves were huge. They came crashing into the rocks and spraying water everywhere. The kids thought it was pretty cool. I wish it would have been possible to have someone standing there to show how high the crashing waves were. Anyone wanna volunteer for next time? Haha.
I spent my childhood frequenting this beach because it was close to our home and my stepdad’s ashes are scattered straight out from the point. Needless to say, this is one of the special places on Kauai for me.
Here’s another pic from yesterday…we went down to Salt Pond after work with the kids. The sunset was absolutely gorgeous and the waves were huge. It’s been a long time since I’ve seen sets that big there. It was a reminder of why people say we are lucky to live on Kauai.
